It is important to try and “switch” up the way you and your child study the spelling words. This way it will keep it fun and interesting, as well as stick in their brain more!
· Have them write each word five times
· Have them clap out or cheer the word (they is T-H-E-Y)
· Have them write out the word, but write all the vowel letters with a different color (they)
· Have them write each word in a sentence (They went to the park). Once done, have them outline the spelling word in a box that follows the shape of the letters (making a word box)
· Practice every night (shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes)!
